| Oak Island Photography is located on Oak Island, NC. We are the only studio on Oak Island and numerous photo sessions are held on location. All photographers are experienced and extraordinarily patient with children. We attend several training sessions per year, thus being able to offer top quality work. We have done numerous weddings, birthday parties, individuals, families, bridal portraits, and intimate weddings. We photograph numerous vacationing families each year who continue to call us every time they return to the beach! Beware of the many fly-by-night photographers that the island houses, who do not have the experience or expertise as we do. Oak Island Weddings After planning my own wedding a few years ago, I became overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. Our "simple little" wedding in Charleston, SC quickly turned in to our complicated, stressful, big wedding in Charleston. On a whim and tear, without my then fiance's approval, I cancelled our Charleston Wedding. I called him and told him I had made a decision while under stress. I informed him that I had cancelled our November Charleston wedding and booked us a Hawaiian honeymoon, where we could elope, just me and him! ...and by the way,...we were getting married in July! I just wanted to show up, and enjoy our wedding. With this said, I wanted to provide an affordable alternative for brides who were in my shoes. Being that I already owned Oak Island Photography, I decided to open Oak Island Weddings. My goal was and is to allow brides from all over to enjoy a nice, stress free, relaxed wedding that everyone will enjoy! I wanted to make sure that it was affordable while still maintaining top quality and making the bride-to-be's dreams come true. I carefully designed a few popular wedding packages, that include everything you could possibly want. Little did I know that it would grow as fast as it has. In 2010, Oak Island Photography and Weddings successfully married over 40 couples! We are confident that our professionalism and compassion for brides will enable our business to thrive and grow.
