| Oak Island Photography 910.538.6589 “The Wedding Shoot” We know that this will be a stressful day for all involved! It is our goal to make you as relaxed as possible! Let us stress for you! Our all-inclusive package includes everything you could possibly want and need to make your day intimate and beautiful! You literally just "show up" and follow our directions. This is as stress free and easy as it gets for you! You have virtually no decisions to make, as we make them for you! Now, close your eyes and imagine you pulling up to the beach and peeking out the window of your car. You see a beautiful scene on the beach; white covered chairs, the sparkle of lit tiki torches, a beautiful white arch decorated for you to stand under, and your lovely groom to be anxiously waiting for you to arrive. As you exit the car, you will hear a sweet melody of traditional bridal music. Your minister and wedding director meet you with a quick hello, and give you your directions. In just minutes, you see the wedding director wave and motion for you to make your grand entrance and walk down the torched walkway to your groom. As you approach, your guest all stand and you hear the tune of the Wedding March playing as you near the white arch. You are greeted by your groom who is smiling from ear to ear! Two photographers are following you and capturing your every movement. Sister Gina opens and ask everyone to recite the Lord's prayer with her. She briefly speaks to the both of you and then you exchange vows. She ask you to place your rings on each other's fingers. Sister Gina then ask you each to scoop the sand from under your feet and pour it into a vase. She ends with words of encouragement and announces you husband and wife. As Sister Gina instructs the groom to "kiss your bride", you and your guests are stunned by the firework display that is shooting off above the ocean. You turn around, you walk down the lit sandy aisle to celebration music as you walk towards the small the table holding your cider and cake. You quickly hug your guests, and then you toast to your new life with one another. You cut a small piece of cake and feed it to one another as your family and friends watch. Immediately following this, you have the option to have a first dance with your new spouse! Your photographers will begin to photograph you and your family and friends. Once, we are finished, we will box your remaining cake for you, and have your witnesses and you sign the marriage certificate. We will walk you to your car and wish you a wonderful life together. We will take care of the clean up while you enjoy your new spouse! We just have a few requirements from you, so we can make sure your wedding & pictures are as beautiful as you are. 1. Under NO circumstances will any other cameras be allowed to take pictures during the wedding. WHY: This is going to be your special day. I have taken gorgeous shots with the bride and groom walking down the aisle, etc. Unfortunately, when I developed the film, there were several guests who had cameras to their eyes, snapping shots. This looked horrible!!! The last thing you want is pictures with your guests snapping photos! I am sure you want to see their faces too! Please have someone ask your guests in advance to refrain from taking pictures. IF ANYONE IS TAKING PICTURES WITH THEIR PERSONAL CAMERA THEY WILL BE ASKED TO STOP. IF THEY DO NOT STOP, WE WILL ASSUME YOU WANT THEM AS THE PHOTOGRAPHER, AND WE WILL STOP TAKING PICTURES AND PACK UP OUR CAMERAS. 2. Once the ceremony is over, I will photo you and your family and wedding attendants. This will take approximately 30 minutes, as I take some really cool, intimate shots. Once again, I ask that there are no other cameras during this session. WHY: You’ve paid good money for me! When others stand behind me to take you picture, a. you don’t know who to look at and smile and b. it takes away time from your photographer! Plus, you’ve opted for the digital files, so they can have as many pictures of the wedding as they would like. I’ll even upload them to Walmart.com for you and send you the link via email. This way you can email them the link and they can access to them all as well! 3. When the wedding and photo sessions are over, your guests are more then welcome to take as many pictures as they’d like. They can even put you in the same poses as I did! Once the reception begins, they can take as many pictures with their own cameras as they wish. 4. Please keep in mind that you have paid for wedding and 90 minutes of photography. If you should decide that you would like for the photographer to stay longer, there will be an additional $50 per half hour, depending upon the photographer’s availability. 5. Make sure that you have emailed a. a contact number while you are here b. your wedding location’s address, and c. you might consider making a list of the different photo combinations you would like. (ex: bride, groom, uncle joe, aunt mary, cousin kate and Johnny) This will ensure that you get everyone you want! You can just give this list to me at the wedding. 6. Call 910.538.6589 two days prior to the wedding date. We just want to confirm weather conditions, locations, etc. 7. When your guests arrive, about 15 minutes prior to the start of your wedding, everything will be set up! Your photographer will show up 30 minutes prior to your wedding. He/She will familiarize themselves with the set up, and actually go ahead and start taking some photos!! We’ve learned that this is good time to take individuals of the grandparents! 8. Feel free to call us about ANYTHING!! Seriously…if you are having hair issues, makeup issues, restaurant issues, or just issues, call us!! We are here to help! We are all from the area and we know people!! 9. Make sure you drink LOTS of water the night before and day of your wedding. You do not want to become dehydrated while standing in the sun! Also, drinking water the night before makes your skin look really refreshed and healthy, which will help your pictures! 10. Prior to the wedding, you should go to either the minister, or the photographer and pay the remaining balance for your wedding. It should be cash the day of, or if you pay with check it needs to be no later than 7 days prior to your wedding date. If you wish to pay with your credit card, you must pay via Pay Pal 3 days prior to the wedding date. Please approach us with final payment. We really don't like to have to ask. I normally suggest that you "appoint" a family member or friend to be responsible for getting payment to us. You will have enough on your mind, so delegate some responsibility. 11. Normally, the groom will arrive 15 minutes prior to the wedding. The minister will introduce herself and give him brief instructions. Once the bride arrives, the minister and director will meet her in the parking lot and give her directions as well. You will be directed as to when to walk, where to stand, and what to say. 12. Your photos will be ready in 4-5 days. Your photographer should tell you when to expect them. 13. The baker will provide you with a box to take the remaining cake home with you. 14. We will pack up, clean up and take care of all the aftermath, you just go be with your family and friends and enjoy your day. 15. A $200 nonrefundable deposit is due at time of booking. This is refundable due to extreme weather conditions. (hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, etc.) 16. Tipping is not required, but gladly accepted. :-) |
| Questions we will ask you at time of booking: 1. How many guests. 2. How many attendants. 3. Any children of prior relationships that will be included in the ceremony. 4. How many elderly people will be in attendance? (This helps with location) 5. Religious or non-religious ceremony? 6. Will you be adding any a la carte items? 7. Will you be reciting your own vows or do you wish to use the traditional vows? |
